subject: Get Away From It All With A Motorhome For Rent [print this page]

It seems that life is getting more stressful as society creates things to make it less so. Whether living in the hustle and bustle of a major city or in a quiet small country town the pressures of everyday living such as earning money, keeping up with the housework or looking after the children and family, all add up and have us looking for that much needed holiday. Some people rush to the airport jumping on planes to zip away to some hotel in a far away destination, others relax at home gardening or enjoying their local attractions not often explored, but in my opinion nothing beats being in a car on an open stretch of road with picture postcard scenery. That is unless that vehicle is not a car but a motorhome. Why not get away from it all with a motorhome for rent?

Once you decide to travel by motorhome the excitement really sets in. Where can we go? Do I need to fly to the location and then hire it or can I pick it up nearby and travel locally? How long can we go for? What time of the year? What can I see as we are travelling? What do I want to see? Do we set the itinerary or do we go where the wind takes us? Okay that's sorted what next?

Packing. Will it be cold there or hot? At least in the motor home I can spread out my clothes so I am only restricted by the transport on how to get to my new home. Living in a suitcase need not exist in the home, as most are equipped with hanging space and cupboards reducing crumpling and ironing! Less ironing I am starting to relax even more. Toiletries go above the toilet and next to the shower. No need for late night dashes to the communal toilet block or realising half way through your shower you have left your shampoo back in the caravan or worse still running out of the hotel supplied soap.

What can we eat while on the road? No need to overspend on tasteless meals from suspicious looking so-called restaurants. With the kitchen essentials supplied on board we can have three home cooked meals every day. Not so good for the figure but definitely a way to cut costs and please mums as we can include vegetables especially the dreaded broccoli.

What can we do on the road? Besides appreciating the view from the vehicle, driving yourself or picking on the driving by others, having access to all your luggage means you can grab the book, knitting, handheld game, crossword puzzle or DVD you brought along to provide relief from the countless games of eye spy you intended to play. You can only use m for motorhome so many times right? Meeting like-minded characters as you pull over also adds to the experience of your travels.

In fact the only disappointing thing about getting away from it all by renting a motorhome is coming home. Oh well at least we can always start planning the next one.
