subject: Express Yourself With A T-shirt [print this page]

You have two choicesYou have two choices. You can be creative and original with your look or you can look like a clone. Is being a clone what you want? Of course not. Go for originality that makes you stand out among the masses and the best way to do that is with a T-shirt that says what you think and makes people remember it. If you want to stand for something, go for it and let the world know how you feel from politics to your favorite party place.

Politics is a great way to garner attention and even start a conversation if that's important to you. How about a national disaster that requires attention and you have opinions on how to make things better? Wear your thoughts on your chest. You can do it in a friendly and funny way without provoking a battle between yourself and a stranger. Your T-shirt will say enough without getting in someone's face.

It's fun to separate yourself from everyone else. Go to any resort town where everyone is wearing T-shirts and the chances are that most of them are advertising the same restaurants and television shows. You can't walk through the mall without seeing girls wearing Miley Cyrus T-shirts. Be yourself. Go old school and come up with something different. The same messages get boring after awhile.

Things get so boring once they hit the masses and become mass-produced on a global scale. Something might look like an arresting image and feel really edgy, until you see the same thing plastered all over Wal-Mart and the mall. To keep yourself safe from being "malled" by your own fashion then look a little deeper than the mall and the local big box stores.

Artists create. That's their livelihood. If you want to separate yourself from the masses, look for your own creations. Don't go shopping at Wal-Mart or Target for your shirts. Establish your independence and head on line for your message. There are plenty of T-shirts out there and there's always one of them with your message.
