subject: Tim Mcgraw Tickets - Tim Mcgraw Scores Another Film Role [print this page]

When not making the award-winning music that allowed him to fill the country music shoes of Music City icon Garth Brooks as one of the genre's leading men, Tim McGraw has been testing his acting chops as of late. McGraw can currently be seen in the drama film The Blind Side starring actress Sandra Bullock, and according to Hollywood Reporter, he will soon co-star with Gwyneth Paltrow in a new movie called Love Don't Let Me Down. Filming for the so-called country musical drama will begin in January, one month before McGraw's tour with Lady Antebellum kicks off in Omaha, Neb.

No word yet on what wife and fellow country star Faith Hill had to say about it, but Tim McGraw had to shave off his trademark goatee for his role in The Blind Side. The film tells the true story about a homeless adolescent named Michael Oher who is taken in by a wealthy couple played by McGraw and Bullock, who he told The Boot was "just a very cool, friendly, down-to-earth person." He also added, "For me, she always reminded me of my best friend's little sister." In the film, which opened during Thanksgiving weekend, and in real life, the boy becomes a star athlete thanks to his adopted parents.

McGraw scored another stellar leading lady in Paltrow for his next film, which will be shot in Nashville with a few scenes possibly being filmed on McGraw and Hill's farm outside of Music City. Love Don't Let Me Down features McGraw playing the husband and manager of Paltrow's character, a fallen country singer romantically involved with a rising singer-songwriter played by Garret Hedlund. Coincidentally, Hedlund previously played McGraw's football star son in Friday Night Lights. Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester plays a budding beauty queen in Love Don't Let Me Down, which is reportedly being produced by Maguire Entertainment (co-owned by Spider-Man actor Tobey Maguire).

While Tim McGraw has shown more than a little acting talent, he is first and foremost a country singer, which is why his fans cannot wait to get their hands on Tim McGraw tickets to his upcoming tour, which are available online. The singer is touring in support of his latest album, Southern Voice, which arrived in October. The tour begins Feb. 11 and is currently scheduled to finish up in mid-August.

Lady Antebellum will join Tim McGraw as special guests on his upcoming road trip, while the Lost Trailers and Love and Theft will share opening act duties. "I'm real excited to have this opportunity to hit the road next year with the Southern Voice Tour and look forward to playing new songs and old favorites for all my fans," said McGraw when he unveiled his tour dates a few months ago. Among the new songs he will play will likely be the title song off his new album, as "Southern Voice" has been riding the country music charts since its release. In fact, Billboard.com recently revealed that McGraw has the third-highest Top 10 sum on Billboard's Country Songs chart.
