subject: Solar Panel Systems Are A Great Way To Keep The Environment Clean [print this page]

With the increase in population, our natural sources are decreasing. To prevent these resources from becoming extinct, to avoid this we need to utilize certain alternatives of non-renewable resources such as wind energy, water energy, solar energy etc. Using solar energy as a renewable resource can be a good option. The amount of solar energy received by us in an hour is more than the energy used by the earths population in a year.

Solar energy can be used with the help of solar panels. Now a question may arise as to what does solar panel do? It converts the solar energy to electric energy which is used in offices, homes etc. Installing a solar panel can be a good alternative to the hydro electric energy that is majorly used. This limitless source of energy can be tapped with the advantage of it being free and sustainable. Installing solar panel systems would be a great option as they are easy to use and are affordable. Solar panels are used for water heating systems which are one of the fastest growing renewable energy technologies.

There are so many types of solar panels which are used for different purposes. Some of them are mono crystalline solar panels that use crystalline silicon. They are produced in large sheets that would cut to the size of the panel thus making one large single cell. Metal strips are laid over the entire cell and act as a conductor to capture the electrons.

Another type of solar panels is thin film solar panels. The main advantage of a thin film panel is its low manufacturing cost and usefulness. These thin film panels are applied in thin layers of different materials. Thin film solar panels are more flexible and reliable when compared to other types of solar panels. They are the least efficient type of solar panel currently available. The technology used in thin-film solar panels has high levels of impurities of silicon, which in turn cause the product efficiency to drop within a short period of use. Its installation would not be affordable for all, but solar energy generated from the solar panels gives you 50%-70% of your yearly hot water requirements without you having to incur any cost at all. Solar panels for heating water are easy and quick to install, easy to maintain and work in all weather conditions. Using solar panels systems is a great way to generate and use clean and renewable electricity to activate remote appliances including the home appliances.
