subject: Bridal Shower Ideas - Celebrate The Life Of The Bride [print this page]

If you are a bride-to-be and want to have a lot of fun before you tie the knot with your girls, then host a bridal shower.

The bride is the star of the show, so what kind of shower and where it is held should be geared toward her likes and dislikes. Call at least two months in advance to book the restaurant, and then get those invitations out as soon as possible. A favorite restaurant is a great place to have a shower and if the restaurant has a party room- that's even better.

There are other great venues to host; usually available in every town. A local coffee house is also an unexpectedly great place to host, for the outdoorsy type a park for a picnic themed shower would be a great surprise. For the beach lover, by the sea if everyone is located by the beach, if not a beach themed shower at someone's house could be just as much fun.

Every shower has to have games to keep things rolling along. There are plenty of commercially produced games on the market. Small trophies or other rewards should be prepared ahead of time for the winners of the games. A nice winning prize is spa products for the home.

One of the best ideas is to arrange for donations to be made to the couples honeymoon instead of bringing gifts, especially if the wedding will unite two households not only two people. Putting a little note in with the invitations of where the couple plans to spend their honeymoon and how to make donations in their name is a fabulous idea. This will really help the couple out and the gift will really be appreciated, after all there are only so many blenders a household can use. These events are usually froth with gifts for the home.

In books, magazines, and on the internet can you find tons of interesting and fun bridal shower ideas in abundance. They provide some general guidance for you to follow to make sure that the shower goes off without a hitch.
