It truly does not matter how you get your heart rate up. Most physicians recommend walking for 30 minutes a day. That is instead of just 20 because it usually takes a few minutes to get the heart rate up. If you have a gym near by spinning class is wonderful for everyone. Swimming is great if you have joint problems. Yoga class is beneficial in so many ways. Or maybe a kickboxing class, to help get out some of the withdrawal frustration. And if you are not able work out at a gym or walk for one reason or another, find some way to stay moving for an extended period. Do anything you can to get your endorphin fix.
