subject: Digital photography- new era of long evolution [print this page] Author: Juraj Sasko Author: Juraj Sasko
The digital photography was some time ago only another attempt how to develop the next stage of photography and possibly access digital mediums. Unfortunately for classical photography, the digital one is fully successful nowadays and it is pushing the classic one to history. Photo labs even use the digital technology for developing classical photographs, which leads into quality loss and still more and more using the old style cameras is senseless. Taking photos is easier, cheaper and more convenient than it used to be. You dont have to be a specialist to take some good photo and what is more, that price of reasonable good digital cameras is so low that almost anyone can effort them. The cheapest cameras can be bought for less than 100 Euros; however, you can get a good quality for as little as 500 Euros. The photography evolution is too fast, exactly like any other evolution in digital world. Magnetophones, cassettes and 8mm film can be found in museums now, because they have been replaced by modern technology represented by CDs, DVDs, MP3 players etc. Exactly the same situation is happening in photography. For over 100 years we had been taking photos on emulsion which was executed by chemical way. 100 years of development which affected the quality- cameras were serving for many years. Now we have the digital era, the development is only in its beginning and we dont know exactly what to expect. The only thing we know is that photos are and will be digital at least for a while. The digital photography era has a significant influence on internet too, every day new royalty free images banks occur and help the online community to spear the world about digital photography.About the Author:
