Goneril and Regan are rude and selfish and love her father only for his wealth, while Cordelia is loyal to her father. He denies her after puzzling her sincerity with insolence. The earl of Gloucester is the father of Edgar (loyal son) and Edmund (evil son). The story continues, at first, it starts with love and care and ends with the death of all characters. The play is full of greed, disloyalty, lust for power, and cruelty.
