subject: Camping Is Always More Fun With The Right Supplies [print this page] Going camping might not be everyone's cup of tea, but for those that like to do it, they usually like to do it a lot. Some campers like to go with the bare necessities, while others like to take along everything but the kitchen sink and they would take that too if they had the room. Of course, how much gear you take with you can depend on how long you are going to stay and how many people are going. There are some camping supplies that simply must be taken along no matter what.
You might use an RV or camper trailer to stay in, but most real campers do not consider this the same as using a tent. If everyone is going to sleep together, you need a large tent, but you might rather have individual tents for everyone one or two people. Any tent you choose you be strong and durable and easily put together. You must have a hammer or like tool to get the stakes in the ground so you can't forget to take those things. Every tent needs to have windows with screen coverings so you can get air inside when it is hot.
A lot of avid campers will take a long a tent fan that uses batteries. It makes summer time camping a lot more bearable at night. It makes it easier to see inside at night if you have a tent light. Tent lights work using batteries too and they are very convenient to take with you. You might not think these are important camping items until you get there and have to do without them. They do not cost a lot and they don't take a lot of space to take them.
Some people might be alright sleeping on the ground in their sleeping bag, but other campers know that an air bed is a much better option. Sleeping bags are alright, but air beds allow you rest so much better and they roll up just as small when deflated. You might not appreciate it as much until you actually lie down, then you will know why it is better than a bag.
It is really smart to take along a screen tent too so that you will have a place where you can eat without the insects being able to get to you. They can go right over a picnic table and you lounge chairs easily. Of course, there are usually other supplies you want to keep protected as well like coolers, swimming floats or a variety of other things. A screen tent is perhaps not a necessity, but when it rains, like it is prone to do on any camping trip, it will be worth taking along.
