subject: Ways To Use Your Garden [print this page]

A terrace can be an important element of the garden space, designed for dining or recreation. Building and planning it depends on its further usage. A terrace can be embellished using flower pots, flower boxes, hanging baskets or other containers specially designed for this purpose. Containers will help to rearrange plants for different occasions. With seasonal changes, the terrace can be refreshed, your task being to place specific plants for that season.

You can create an extension of your house - a garden room or studio which can serve as an outdoor kitchen. It can be right outside the house in the garden made of special timber. The garden studio can also be used to relax, sleep, work or play some games.

First of all you must decide what features the cooking area should have. Maybe a barbecue will not be good enough for you and you want an elaborate arrangement, which includes a sink and a refrigerator. In this case the appliances should be protected against adverse environmental conditions - so place the center of cooking in a covered area.

If you prefer simplicity and have chosen a grill, then you should know that this choice requires making some decisions too: the barbecue may use coal, liquid propane or natural gas. Charcoal barbecue grills are less expensive, while natural gas ones are the most expensive. The number of burners and features, such as a piezoelectric ignition on the battery or a flame protection system involves a cost increase as well. Depending on your budget, you can choose a range of accessories such as rotisseries, side burners, furnaces, and chimney or heating removable elements, head mounted thermometer, a pan of grease, etc.

It's quite easy to create your own fountain in the garden. All you need is a pump, stones or rocks cement and water plants. If you have a river nearby you can find there pebbles. This will give your fountain even a more natural look.

A garden could represent a quiet place home away from home. Where you can peacefully read or listen to music or take a nap after a hard day at work. If this is the case then you can consider building a garden studio, a timber construction, where combination of natural light, sound and thermal insulation, offers favorable conditions on any weather.
