The Rage R80 is an entry-level device with a black plastic body and rubber coated keypad. This candybar phone is a simple yet smart model that supports dual-band GSM frequencies. The R80 provides instant accessibility on basic mobile needs and has some extra features like a built-in torch light. However, the small 1.52-inch CSTN screen is a turn off. The ear piece is above the screen. Blow the screen is the circular D-pad surrounded by four keys. Two soft keys on the left are for accessing the menu and making calls while the ones on the right are for accessing the phonebook and power on/off. The circular D-pad controls applications like music player, FM radio, messaging and user profiles. The center of the D-pad is for accessing the menu. The rubber coated keypad is comfortable to use while typing messages and dialing numbers. The lower panel of the phone has two slots - one for connecting the charger and another for the headset. Rage R80 supports TF card for extending the memory. Since the memory space of phone is limited, you can use an extended memory card to store your favorite songs and files. Folders and files in the TF card can be managed through the File Manager. The device has various profiles - like general, outdoor, indoor, headset and power saving - which users can personalize. The Rage R80 has an auto keypad lock and comes with a built-in calender where users can set reminders for birthdays, appointments, events and anniversaries. It also has a currency converter, alarm clock, stop watch and sound recorder. The device has an FM radio and music player for entertainment on the go. The music quality of the phone in loudspeaker and headset modes is decent. The R80 has an excellent battery life that gives more standby time and talktime.
