subject: Colon Flush And Supplements For Candida Sufferers [print this page]

In this one article, I'd like to share two topics: colon flush and supplements which are aspirin and Vitamins C. These two topics come from my list, they ask me several things. I will present the topic one by one.

First idea is based on a question from a friend of mine who wants to know about colon flush instructions.

Here are the instructions for colon flush from a reader who has done it before:

"If you can afford to buy the colema board, it's a great investment. You'll have it for life. If not, this is what you should do.

Get a 4 by 2 piece of melamine board at Home Depot for ten bucks, and had them cut it down to 46" by 20".

You need at least one 5 gallon bucket (at least two, one to rest the end of the board on), a smaller bucket (at least 12 quart one, but a two gallon bucket is good too). You'll also need a roll of duct tape.

Use the smaller bucket to mark the whole, then cut it in half, leaving the front on the very bottom. You of course want to place the board on the toilet to see where you want the hole. The center of the hole I cut was 7 inches from the bottom of the board.

If you don't have a jigsaw, use drill to make holes all around the circumference of the circle, and then ground that with a grinding attachment for my drill. Put duct tape along the bare wood on the inside of the hole. Put the cut bucket in place, and drill a hole in the back for the tubing. Tape the bottom front of the cut bucket to the inside of the hole and left the back movable.

Wait until you get the tubing kit before you make the board. They have a good picture of it in with the tubing kit. The nice thing about it is that you can do it at home in privacy. You can also add anything you want to the water. Make sure that you use pure water.

My second article will discuss about aspirin and Vitamin C. This is based on some questions from another reader on my list. She also has read several websites of mine.

A few years back, she read that to help avoid heart attacks, one should take 325 mg of aspirin every day. Both she and her husband started taking them. She just recently read that aspirin triples the rate of expulsion of Vitamin C. She wonders whether aspirin are effective at all. She suspects that this is just a ploy to sell more aspirin or to reduce the effects of Vitamin C.

You never know whether this is just a ploy or not, since we can't expect the medical industry to be ethical to say the least

Yesterday her DH came home waving a prescription from his MD to lower her husband's cholesterol levels. This is without even giving the man a chance to eat properly for awhile and then get retested.

She went online and discovered that the only way to get cholesterol levels is to reduce the carbohydrates. She wants to know the explanation behind all this.

First of all, 325 mg of aspirin is more than recommended for this purpose. Low dose aspirin tablet are what is recommended, they have around 87 mg of ASA in them I think.

The lower daily dose lessens the detrimental side effects associated with daily ingestion of ASA. You can break the regular size pills up too, there is a device you can buy for splitting pills.

About your DH and MD, they love to have people buy their drugs. You should read Sally Fallons excellent cookbook "Nourishing Traditions". In it she describes why saturated fats are good for you and unsaturated oils are not, as well as giving a good description of the fact that blood cholesterol is good for you.

High levels are caused by having damaging levels of unsaturated fats in the diet. The cholesterol is made by the body and used in the blood stream to help repair damage. It is anti-oxidant as well.
