subject: Clothing And Jewelry To Look The Best [print this page]

Everybody want to look there best, this much is obvious. In fact, entire industries have risen due to the insistence of people wanting to wear the right clothes and flaunt the right baubles. But what little ideas go beyond what the fashion industry puts out as the next trend? Here are a few ideas about your clothing and jewelry.

To begin with, always remember that you are getting gussied up for an actual purpose, whether that purpose is to go out dancing all night, or building fences all day, or grooming dogs and cats, you clothes have a function to perform. In addition to looking swell, they need to work well with you. Go with comfort and practicality first, and then figure out the fashion sense.

This means that you will buy and wear clothes that fit your body type properly. Grotesquely baggy clothes are out, as is anything skintight and too revealing. These types of clothes are not only uncomfortable over time; they will often send the wrong message to the wrong people at the wrong time. Avoid extremes in fit.

Of course there are exceptions to this rule, as in Rock Star wear and pubescent teenaged girls. The reality is, however, that you are probably neither one of these, so get some clothes that fit. You will look far more professional, attractive, and just plain smarter if you do. What works in the nightclubs does not do so well in the office, either. And always consider your body type. Size five jeans belong on very skinny people, and gigantic pants belong on, well, giants.

The jewelry you choose to adorn yourself should follow the same basic guidelines. Those Rock Stars, a few of them, look cool with all of that silver and onyx gear and trendy middle school kids look great in nose rings that match their orthodontic braces. The thing to ask yourself is, is this the look that you really want to go with? Or would you prefer some taste and style?

Think of some hot new trends in, say, pierced body parts. If you are anywhere near thirty years of age you really should not have your nose, cheeks, eyebrow, or lip pierced at all. Earrings are often nice, but what style are you sporting? If they are so big and cumbersome that you cannot see with your peripheral vision, they should not be worn to the office. Again, think of what, and where, you are getting dressed for. Always strive to be appropriate here.

Now that you know that less is more, apply this knowledge to quality, too. Always buy the very best that you can. If you are on a budget, by less of better quality. You will save over the long run because high quality lasts, and outlasts trends and fads. You will do far better with a few very good pieces than with many cheap ones. Remember, cheap looks cheap, and you do not want to be looking cheap.

So follow these simple little hints with your clothing and jewelry and you will always look fashionable. Do not follow trends designed for teenagers. Make sure your clothes fit properly and are suited for what you are doing, whether for work or play. And less is more when it comes to adornment. Go with classy all the way, and leave the trashy behind. And always buy quality, even if you have to buy less. You will never regret looking your best.
