They will need us a parents for guidance in many situations that occur in life and will continue this for much of their life.
Advice for your teen is something that most of the time you should offer when learning of a situations they are involved in. If it involves sexting some suggest that you lay down some ground rules on the use of your communication devices like your cell phone and computer. No matter how fun your teen feels sexting is, there is probably someone out there getting hurt because of it. Some children and teens in particular are mean in spirit and will do and say anything to make someone unhappy or create some invalid rumor about someone else. This we will cover in another article.
Unfortunately, despite all of the warnings that continue to come in about the dangers of teens sexting, parents are challenged to try to prevent this type of activity and keep their children from getting involved because it only takes one little mishap for their child to land in jail and to be branded as a child molester or a sex offender. Just the act of a child putting nude photos up on the Internet of minors is constituted as child pornography and will get them in serious dealings with the police. Be diligent in informing your son or daughter about the dangers of sexting and maybe something will click and they will not try it at all.
