It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.Lamictal is an anticonvulsant. Exactly how it works is not known.
How to use Lamictal:
Use Lamictal as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
* An extra patient leaflet is available with Lamictal . Talk to your pharmacist if you have questions about this information.
* Take Lamictal by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
* Lamictal has a bitter taste. Do not crush or chew before swallowing. The tablet may be broken in half if your doctor tells you to do so.
* Continue to take Lamictal even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses.
* Do not miss any doses. If you miss a dose of Lamictal , take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for you next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
