subject: A Clean Home Is A Healthy Home [print this page] A person wrote recently asking about what she could do about her anxiety that she suffered with daily, because of her house and the condition of it. The anxiety wasn't because it was dilapidated or had structural damage or was too small. It was because of the clutter, dust, and dirt.
She had the mental conflict which made her compare the neatness of her family and what she has had in her mind. She had always wanted a place free from dirt but her family never thought of keeping the place clean.
She was losing sleep, there were constant arguments, her blood pressure was steadily rising week to week and she apparently had just had it.She didn't think she should be the one to have to take sleeping medicines, blood pressure pills, and allergy elixirs when many of the sources of those symptoms were, in her opinion, easy to solve with a little work and cooperation.
I thought about this for a long time and while I am not the most fastidious house cleaner, I tend to agree. Countless studies have touted the detrimental effects of a disorganized atmosphere on quality of sleep. What kind of domino effect happens when our sleep is disrupted?
This would tell us from where the germs would come. Many programs have come out with the result that many people maintain their bathrooms tidier than their homes.
When people find when one's habits disturbing this can easily cause stress that can mount up on day to day basis and lead to serious problems. Sharing apartments and living spaces lead to these kinds of stresses.
The answer to these questions is simply that a clean home is a healthy home. Most everyone has heard this old saying at least once in their lives. This is because it is true. Now I am not saying you should vacuum incessantly and be constantly spraying your whole house with bleach, but leaving clothes, shoes, papers, dishes, toys and other clutter all over the house causes problems in every direction.
When toilets are flushed without closing the upper part it splashes the toilet water to about 2 feet on every side. When dishes are not washed and left over, they cause bad smell and arrange a safe place for the bacteria and germs to grow.
Its always better to keep furniture and clothes as clean as possible. Keeping them dirty will make them short lived and worn out
As to her frustration over the cooperation of her family, my advice was to try to gently educate her family to WHY it is so important to her to have a clean space instead of fighting over why they aren't helping.
Some people are neat and others are not. Some people enjoy cleaning and others hate it worse than any other activity. Regardless of what compels a person to clean, the motivation to keep on tidying should be the same for everyone.
If there is no dust there will not be any insects. These will reduce the stress and problems and will in fact make the place clean. Neat and clean atmospheres are places of good sleep. If there is no dust there will not be any insects.
Any place with dirt just needs to be cleaned with water or aroma oil that covers the bad smell of the dirt. There is no necessity of using powerful chemical substances for cleaning. Baking soda and lemon will clean the place with no dirt.
Cleaning may be a strenuous job but once the place is cleaned up and looks tidy it is we who are going to be happy, sit back and relax the rest of the day.
If you manage to clean your place effectively and still suffering from sleep and blood pressure issues, try my hypertension no more program.
