subject: A Great Hobby, A Lasting Memory [print this page]

Photography is a fulfilling hobby that you might want to try. Capturing majestic views on film or freezing exciting moments in time can be quite exhilarating. Naturally, you must have the technical expertise in order for you to shoot the right angle at a precise moment. Nevertheless, these things can be learned either in formal photography schools and tutorials or just by simply doing the research yourself. What is most important, however, is that you must have the eye for beauty and the ability to see what others cannot.

It is said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. This is because what may seem a beautiful sight in your eyes may not appear all that unusual to others. This is the point where you need to know the correct angle so that you may be able to turn a seemingly ordinary scene into a picturesque view or landscape which you were able to capture on film.

An example of an ordinary sight, which good hobbyists like you may be able to turn into a truly picturesque scene, is the view of a harbor or marina. You may have already seen seemingly negligible views at a marina but when the same scene is captured on film, it takes on a mysterious beauty which anyone can truly appreciate. In fact, there are a lot of magnificent pictures being put on display of a view of a marina, with its usual complements of boats and yachts, which has the ability of drawing the attention of anyone who sees it.

One such example is the harbor and marinas found in the coastal areas of Massachusetts. A seemingly ordinary view of a MA marina can be transformed into truly enchanting scenery at the hands of good hobbyists like you.

Naturally, there are other areas of MA marinas where the scene, by itself, is already spectacular. However, with a precise angle and the right amount of natural light, such views can be further transformed into truly majestic scenery.

With gorgeous yachts and sailboats docked at the harbor in the foreground and beautiful buildings in the background, your captured image of a MA marina would surely be poster-perfect. So the next time you visit any of the coastal cities in Massachusetts, you might consider taking your camera along. For all you know, that would be the time that you will be able to capture on film a truly spectacular scene.
