Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) recommends its 2812EVM-I DSP evaluation board which supports both extended shielded and unshielded interrupt inputs. It is an upgraded module with 32-bit fixed-point Flash DSP that operates at a frequency of 150MHz. Its price has been reduced to US$399.00 for a limited time. This optimized module with driver and control systems is designed based on the TMS320F2812 DSP from Texas Instruments. It provides on-board VL-Bus data/address/control leadout wires and special function pins also with leadout wires.

GAO Embedded's evaluation board, model 2812EVM-I, provides testing code for testing CCS, PWM, ADC, SPI, SCI, CAN communication, FFT, DC brush/brushless motor and AC motor SPWM and SVOWM. It features on-chip flash program memory, on-chip and extended SRAM, a CAN 2.0 interface and 2kbit serial EEprom. This evaluation board avoids electro-magnetic interference (EMI) to the computing unit by using an independent power supply for A/D sampling. The evaluation board has eight LEDs providing status feedback for convenience and two RS232 interfaces for communication with a PC.
