Secrets Of Credit Reporting Agencies They Do Not Want You To Have........

At least in the United States, obtaining your credit report is a simple and easy process. This is thanks, at least in part, to a law declaring that each person is entitled to one free copy of their credit report per year from each agency! That is a total of three free reports. Of course, the reporting agencies arent exactly going to bang down your door to make sure you get your free copy: You are going to have to go out there and find it.

There are three main reporting agencies in the USA. They are:

1. Equifax (equifax com)

2. Experian (experian com)

3. Transunion (transunion com)

However, if you want your free credit report, DO NOT GO TO THESE COMPANIES DIRECTLY. If you go straight to these websites, you WILL be charged a fee for accessing your report. Instead, obtain your free report in one of these ways:

1. OnlineGo to annualcreditreport com. At this site, you can automatically order all three reports for free.

2. By phoneCall (877)322-8228 to order your reports.

3. By mailObtain the Annual Credit Report Request brochure. There is a form on the back you can fill out to request your reports. Once youve done so, mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service

PO Box 105281 Atlanta, GA 30348-5281

Which Company Should You Request? You should request a copy of your credit report from ALL THREE COMPANIES. Why, you may ask? Because all three reports may have different information. Most of your major information will remain the same, but one company might make an error another does not, or another might include something essential to your rating that the other two miss. The problem is that you have no control over where someone orders your credit report from. It will almost always be one of those three companies.
