subject: I Want To Give You the Warmest Thanksgiving Gift [print this page]

She is the most important person in my life; she helped me spend my hard journey; she was unsatisfied with all of my boyfriends and I have to confess that she was right in fact; she devoted all her life to her whole family and cared little about herself. This Thanksgiving Day, I want to give her the warmest gift.

There should be a real turkey on the Turkey day

Yes, I have been collecting the most special turkey cooking methods on the internet. Turkey is the biggest dish on Thanksgiving; I'm addicted to its smell and taste since I was little. However, I plan to cook the bird with my own method this year. I want to make it special and unforgettable.

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter, softened

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme

1 (14-lb.) whole fresh turkey (Well this is the last one you can miss.)

Wooden picks

Paprika-Brown Sugar Rub

2 Granny Smith apples, quartered (Is that enough? I think it would be better with one more apple.)

Kitchen string

1 (32-oz.) container low-sodium chicken broth (This needs to be prepared in advance.)

3 tablespoons butter

5 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Garnishes: whole collard green leaves, green apples, lemon slices

I've never cooked a turkey all by myself before so I hope this recipe won't taste too bad. Other steps are more or less the same with you all know.

What about a Thanksgiving gift?

I don't like shining jewelries and also I can't afford them. My mom feels the same with me. She needs a more practical Thanksgiving gift. Like all the other elder ladies, her legs and feet are extremely cold in the winter, which leads to terrible soreness.

When I'm searching in the internet, I found maybe a pair of snow boots will reduce her pain in the winter. I have never worn snow boots because I thought they were too heavy and bulky. However, this time I want to have a try. Although snow boots seem bigger and heavier than other shoes, they are warmer and that's the point, right?

I have been looking around in this shop (http://www.amberette.com/) called Amberette. It sells only all kinds of snow boots made of sheepskin. In fact, the styles and colors are nice but the price is a little higher than what I expected before. Maybe I'll check some reviews and then make the decision.

What about you? Have you prepared your Thanksgiving gift for your mom? I hope you enjoy this article and have a great day!
