subject: Sometimes It Is The Little Things That Make For A Successful Business [print this page]

No grandiose gestures or huge advertising campaigns, in business many times it is the little things that have a larger impact on your customers. An employee who carries your bags to your car on a rainy day, or the clerk who goes the extra mile to help you find that certain item in just the right size and color. Or it could be that thank you note you sent to them for the customer they referred or the discount you offered them on that one item they had to have.

These are all relatively small things that people do. But they mean a whole lot when it happens. It makes you feel like you matter to the business. Even if it is a big store, you will feel that your patronage is important when you are treated this way.

When it comes to the holidays the same rings true, sure it would be lovely to give away wonderfully expensive holiday gifts to everyone on your list, but these days, even if you could afford to do it a grand gesture would seem frivolous. It is much nicer to offer your customers and business associates useful promotional items that serve a purpose.

These type of items will work hard for your business. They can show people that you care, just in the giving. And then when they get used, they will be showing off your business log and other printed info. This means that they will be advertising for you, whenever they are used.

Anytime of the year is a good time to let your customers and business associates know that you appreciate them. The little things really do count, so don't overlook making a grand statement with a small gesture. Pick up a few different promotional items and just pass them along to your customers, the smile on their faces will let you know that this was the right way to go.
