My all time favorite quote is If you say you want a thing but you do not have that thing, then there is something about that thing you do not really want. ~Author unknown~ I have often said I wanted this and that but never managed to manifest my declarations. So, I asked myself recently, do I really want those things I claim? After pondering a while and with careful examination, I discovered I had not been honest with myself. Reluctantly, I admitted that the "desires" I had were really the desires of others. Desperately, I had tried to live up to the expectations of others only to fail time and time again. I would beat up on myself and feel defeated and depressed. According to several statistics, most people live mediocre lives and never reach their full potential. That fact is probably true because most people are living out the dreams of other people instead of their own. How many family and friends do you know that are slaves to tradition or the opinions of their parents or religious affiliates? It is said that the graveyard contains most of the wealth of the world for most souls leave this Earth with the jewels of great potential far beyond measure. So, I impress upon you my dear friends to polish and display your jewels for the living this day forward. Since my awareness, I choose to be true to me. It is passion and joy that comes from the heart that fuels the mind and body to make dreams come true.
