subject: Eat In At Home For Less Health Risks [print this page]

Even in a recession companies are more prone to eat in rather than make a meal at home. There is a concern about whether money is saved by make a meal instead of eating in but not by the takeaway owners. Depending on where you live and what you eat, it's possible that eating in is more cost effective than make a meal and if you look on discounts voucher sites its even cheaper. Making a meal at home requires more planning and effort and this usually falls on the responsibility of at least one adult in the household.

With busy offices, singles and new parents out there not putting health first over convenience home delivery or takeaway delivery has become the norm in society. Home delivery foods range from Kebabs to Chinese takeaway. Though you probably can find a few things on the menu that would be considered healthy it is how the food is prepared that takes away the nutritional value of the meal.

As cultures have changed over the years and everyone is working outside of the house there is less time to prepare a nutritious meal for the family. Though home-prepared food is almost always healthier because the amount of the fat, sugar and calories that is put into it is less than restaurant food home make a meal is still considered an inconvenience. Eating in used to be for foods like Chinese takeaway and burgers but with the fast pace of society and with restaurants willing to deliver or have takeout the saved time and energy is outweighing the cost of good health unless you order online and its only salad your order.

Businesses see the convenience of eating in but don't acknowledge how their health is being affected, with obesity on the rise in both London and the United States both governments are determined to stop this rise and start reduce the numbers. The food we eat and how it is prepared affects our body and our future health. Unless obesity and overweight is tackled, individuals and families face a future burden of ill health that is why you must always eat in. Not to mention the personal cost and the implications for health and social care services and for employers.

To make a meal with food properly is only the start of this fight against obesity and overweight. London's government is determined to be the first nation to lower the number of companies that are obese or overweight by educating companies on how to maintain a healthy weight. As stated previously eating in is convenient compared to make a meal at home but the cost in the end will not be worth the health issues that may arise.
