Do you sometimes feel like your heart will throw out of your chest because it is pounding too hard? Does your breathing become erratic when you feel anxious or frustrated? Do you think your disorder has taken over your life? If any of those statements are correct then you are in dire need of help with panic attacks.

A life that is stricken by this disorder is never an easy life. You are taunted and sometimes obsessed in knowing when your panic attack is so you can prepare for it. I know where all these fears are coming from because I have been there too, and I want to share tips that will serve as your help for panic attacks.

Do recognize the reality that you are one of those people who have the disorder. A couple of people tend to believe that when they do not openly admit to having the disorder, it will somehow disappear. That is a very wrong notion, in fact, the exact opposite might just happen - you will worsen your condition.

Do not think twice in getting help with panic attacks. A lot of people who are too ashamed to admit that they need someone else's help refuse to see a specialist until their condition becomes extremely bad. If you know what is best for you, contact a physician the moment you start feeling ill.

Do bring a brown paper bag all the time. Almost all panic attack disorder patients hyperventilate during an attack. The brown bag will help you stabilize your breathing. Moreover, it will also prevent you from fainting. Remember that fainting is caused by the abnormal exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the body.

Do not harness negative emotions to yourself. When people refuse to say or express what they really feel, they allow anxiety and tension to rise up within them. This in turn, boils down to a panic attack.

Do become vigilant in observing for the changes in your body. While you are on a panic attack, it is expected that you will feel things that bring about discomfort. Do not worry, just allow these feelings to conquer you; do not fight it so that you will not feel more anxious.

Those are the easy ways to conquer your panic attack disorder. Those steps will lead you to a more serene and peaceful life. Your knowledge should not be limited to what you learned here, read on and we will continue to fight against your disorder.
