Although weve been around for almost twenty years our name is actually brand new. For our first sixteen years of existence we used the Matthews Specialty Graphics name to identify ourselves. However, in 2009 we decided to re-brand our graphics division to further differentiate it from Matthews Specialty Vehicles. In the early nineties when the specialty vehicle division was starting to take off, graphics was just another department with a dedicated corner in the shop. With the vinyl graphics industry evolving rapidly in the late nineties we saw the potential for growth and began producing all of our own printed material. Armed with our own production department we were able to really grow outside of the bus world. Our sales team was able to bring in a number of both local and national accounts to help establish our new division, Matthews Specialty Graphics. Over the next few years we were able to upgrade our production capabilities and take on larger accounts. Although we still wanted to support our specialty vehicle division we needed to do something to further set us apart. The new name and logo had been talked about for a while and was finally decided upon in the spring of 2009. The new identity gave us a fresh look to start marketing ourselves as a full service vinyl graphics production house.

The day one we speak of is not when we started making vinyl graphics, but when the Matthews Group was started in 1967 by Robert E. Matthews. His motto has always been Any job big or small, do it right or not at all and these are words that still resonate with our employees today with every job we take on.
