LINGUISTIC ARENA A Chinese proverb says, Students dont care how much you know until they know how much you care. We do care, not being callous; we update our knowledge with latest advancements in teaching and developments in the problematic areas for the foreign language learners, which can be related the field of language learning barriers or regarding language skills. SPELT also cares and provides us with the platform for English Teachers to share the problems to seek guidelines from internationally renowned professors, scholars, teachers and trainers at annual conferences. Caring what is to be taken care of and then sharing best experiences among Society of English Language Teachers and the young lot was the main objective as the theme of the 24th ELT Conference was We Care We Share; We are the ELT World. Multidimensional scholars The Galaxies shared their knowledge of researches and experiences with the English Language Teachers The Stars which became a memorable language treasure for us. Pakistan is the land of multilingual people and many language teachers joined the Islamabad Chapter for attending the Conference even from far flung areas. This gave a picture of social harmony where people from different areas were like links of the same chain but were heading towards the learning of English Language, usage, teaching methods and techniques for the better future of themselves and existing and coming generations. The aroma of sensibility of ambitious nation for learning the language skills could be felt all around in the comfortable ambiance of the venue, Fatima Jinnah Women University. Key note speaker, panellists, resource persons and plenary speakers delivered at their best and helped to advent towards the horizons of glory and perfection of language and left the participants with a legacy of curiosity to research more and more. I hope they had learnt those teaching strategies which can pull magnetically the students towards language learning if we adopt them. These new appealing methodologies will cater to the needs of students and they will enjoy language classes with felicity and language skills will not remain abstruse skills at all.
