subject: The Watch Phone: The Next Big Thing In Cell Phones [print this page]

So maybe you haven"t heard of the watch phone yet. Well here"s the rundown: first you shrink your cell phone down to the size of a wristwatch, second you realize that all the things you loved about it are in tact including the music player and video player and if it didn"t already, now it has a touch screen. Does this sound too good to be true? Well don"t worry because the vast majority of releases have all these features and more. That means video, music, and pictures, all from the convenience of your wrist. There is a wide variety of choice out there ranging from well-known companies like LG and Samsung to smaller independent companies like Phenom and Swap. One good tip: try not to order from China, bad things can happen.

So what else does a watch phone offer over the competition? Well, there are a few noticeable advantages to a wrist-centric take on your mobile phone. First of all, the average battery life is around one hundred hours. This can of course be altered by what you do with your device and how much you use it, but it"s pretty good regardless considering the size of the device. They also have a camera. And I know so does every other phone under the sun, but keep in mind how nice it would be to just raise your arm for a quick snapshot on the super responsive touch screen and be done with it.

This should go without saying, but the phones all have the standard features of a cell phone like vibrate, button locking and the other random modes you"ve come to expect.

But in the end, the watch phone just answers some of the major problems with you everyday cell phone. How does never losing your cell phone cause it fell out of your pocket or you left it in someone"s car again sound? How about missing calls because you left it in another room? Well with a watch phone you really don"t have to worry about that anymore as long as you can manage to pick it up from your dresser in the morning.
