Getting a new puppy is always an exciting time for the entire family until it decides to go to the bathroom in the dining area, living room, or even in the kitchen. Crate training puppies can be somewhat of a challenge especially if you don't have any experience with training puppies

There is one thing that should remain a constant when training puppies right from the get go.

One of the best methods for training your puppy quickly and easily is called the kennel or crate training. You will need to purchase either a outside kennel, or a indoor crate which will be used as your puppies sleeping area.

The reason for this is because instinctively dogs don't like to go to the bathroom where they sleep, so by keeping them contained in there crate, they will wait to go until they are out of the crate or Kennel.

There is a exception for older dogs if you are looking to train them. There needs to be space to stand up, turn around, and stretch in the crate comfortably

The crate training puppies processes will NOT work if you are not consistent. It may sound harsh or strict, but in the long run, your dog will love you for it.

This is to discourage your puppy from wondering around the house. If you let a puppy that has not yet been house broken roam around your house freely he will go to the bathroom were he pleases. Dogs that relieve themselves in the house find it easier to do it again then to wait for their potty break

There is no problem with this, but make sure you keep him supervised.

Too much freedom too early will risk your efforts, so until he is fully potty trained, keep your pup under your watchful eye.

There are a few things you will need to keep in mind during the crate training process.

Firstly, when you first start crate training your puppy, it will not like to be left alone and you might here it whine or cry as dogs are social creatures who want lots of attention.

Remember not to leave the crate in a remote corner of room in your house.
