subject: A Fun History Of Golf Instructions [print this page]

Information about Golf Instructions and the History of the game around the world: Like many other sports, golf instructions have an interesting history, including its beginnings, its changing customs, changing rules, variations, methods and equipment. The golf instructions, aside from practices, are important in order to become an expert golfer. Even if you really are not interested in the game to become an expert golfer, you can still shave many strokes off of your game with the right type of instruction. In the United States, any golfer can gain the knowledge that most professional golfers have had just by enrolling in training centers, academies, and golf schools. The best golf schools are licensed either by the U.S. Golf Teachers Federation or the Professional Golfers Association.

Golf instructions began as early as the 1350s and quickly dominated high societies. Golfers were already using the basic concept of the game we know today by letting each group of golfers to strike until the next unbroken shot. Before the gutta percha ball was created, golf instructions were extremely expensive, which is why it really did begin as a wealthy persons game. It was even considered as a game that was very elite in ability, wherein only a few people from Edinburgh could play the game. It was not until 1848 when the show and tell type of teaching and instruction for this now loved game was introduced and used. It was also during this same year that the guttie ball was invented. Thanks to this type of ball, golf became an affordable sport. It also became easy to export equipment to other parts of the world, and it was cheap too, so the rest of the world was then able to enjoy the game, too.

The first golf instructions book was published in 1857. It was titled A Keen Hand and was written by H.B. Farnie, describing techniques and strategies that are used in the game. In golf instructions, the most important things that a golfer has to learn are alignment, proper posture, golf swing and grip. These things are the number one concern of the game because they are vital and influence every players shot.

Through lessons available at golf schools and academies, every golfer can learn all kinds of shots like chipping, putting, sand shots, fairway shots and driving. Also available are golf instructions that are intricate for advanced players like trouble shots, controlling the shape of the shot and controlling the loft as well.
