Our surroundings, the thoughts we think, the statements we use and the things we do, all determined by our comfort zone. These factors are the fundamental principals we have learnt; the things that they taught us. That's how we can differ good and bad. Yet, all the things are relative; doesn't matter what we think is good, that may be bad from the aspect of other people.
There are two realities: objective is the truth that lives out of us; subjective is the reality exists within us, which is in fact our reality, the way we think. Comfort zone is our realism, the miniature world of our actuality and beliefs. It determines our edge and this is also the wall that we don't pass.
Everyone likes staying within their own veracity. The logic behind this is because we know our little world well and we can keep under control everything there, there are no surprises. It is comfortable and safe there. It would be risky to step out of this secure place because we don't know what kind of challenges are waiting for us out there. Just like a route with a turnig, it feels OK to go until it's easy to see what's coming but it can't be known what we will come across by the turning.
Comfort zone is a barricade that was built around us because of the worry of getting hurt in case we get through this wall. Although, as people we need to break down this wall to be able to grow and take the next step with our lives. Once we've destroyed this wall we must not rebuild it. Living a better life starts out of the zone. Would any car get crashed if they stayed in garages? Yet, cars were not designed to stay in the garage.
The experiment of the fleas
According to their nature, fleas jump. The trainers of fleas put them in a jug and see what happens. The fleas certainly jump out of the jug. After that they palce a lid on the jug. They still try to jump out but they damage themselves with each jump. They wouldn't give it up though, yet they start to jump smaller for the reason of not damaging themselves. The trainer then takes the lid off to observe the behaviour of the fleas. Surprise, they stop jumping out of the uncovered jug.
What do we learn? The fleas were taught to not to jump out of the flagon and they didn't even want to try it any longer; however if they had tried it again they would have been released Free. Their boundaries were unralistic and only lived in their instincts.
Why do I write about this regarding Home based business?
Because associates in Network Marketing sometimes act like fleas. Even though they can't be successful using the old-school methods for finding Home business leads they still do the same. They feel secure using the same techniques and old-fashioned Network Marketing system what they already know and they can easily do. No surprises, everything within that world is predictable, even rejection, right? They don't step out of their comfort zone to learn new Network Marketing systems because of the fear of strange challenges. With this kind of mind-set they don't deserve success... as Mr. Jim Rohn said: life rewards where they deserve it, not where they need it. Once I also heard: a brave man is who does what he scared of.
Let's not be fleas then... Wouldn't you rather be brave and come out of your comfort zone in order to finally be successfulin the MLM industry?
I have experience in coming out of my comfortable zone and I can tell that it has always been rewarding; I truly believe that you can do that too. I didn't understand computers at all but I could see that trying to find MLM leads the old-fashioned way didn't work, yet by using an Internet MLM system some people made fortunes.
