subject: The Simpsons Pinball Machine Is Here [print this page]

Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and a host of other familiar characters have been enchanting (and alarming) television audiences for 20 years, and it is the longest-running primetime animated series in television history. It has even earned its own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and has received 18 Emmy's, a Peabody, 16 Annie Awards, and a Golden Glove nomination. Thankfully, there doesn't seem to be any sign of this cultural phenomenon coming to an end any time in the near future.

As with many other popular television shows throughout the years, The Simpsons has spawned a host of merchandise, from clothing to posters to games. One game in particular stands out from the rest: The Simpsons Pinball Party, released by Stern Pinball Inc. (the only manufacturer of pinball machines in the world today) in 2003. This is the second Simpsons pinball machine, the first being "The Simpsons", introduced in 1990 by Data East Pinball, Stern's predecessor.

The Simpsons Pinball Party Rolls The Hearts of Simpsons Fans

All of your favourite Simpsons characters can be found in this fun, fast-paced game that includes a two-level playing field (the second level is entered through the Simpson family home's garage door), from the famous family themselves to Comic Book Guy and Itchy & Scratchy. Speech for the characters is provided by Simpsons cast members Hank Azaria, Dan Castellaneta and Nancy Cartwright, and the artwork was done by Simpsons creator Matt Groening and Bongo/Fox Studios.

With colourful artwork with scenes from the popular television show as the backdrop and playing field for The Simpsons Pinball Party, this game has everything for Simpsons fans. When the ball goes up to the second level of the game, or the Simpson home, players will find a dot matrix colour television, as well as a couch, which, when filled with three pinballs, starts the multi-ball feature. Also on the second level is the famous Monorail, which delivers the ball across the playing field.

The object of The Simpsons Pinball Party is to help the residents of Springfield party down, and some of the many fun features include a talking Homer head and Bart on a skateboard. This game has various modes of play, each related to a different episode of the iconic television show.

Features of The Simpsons Pinball Party

In addition to all of the above features, The Simpsons Pinball Party has a load of other awesome features too, including three jet bumpers, ball diverters, stationary targets, five flippers, sixteen playing modes, eight multi-ball modes, and the list just keeps going on and on. A really neat feature is the clue that players can receive, either on their flippers or on Homer's television set, which let the player where to hit the ball next.

Adults and children alike will love playing this awesome game, with features that will attract fans of all ages, as well as people who aren't even into pinball, but j
