subject: After the last of the fall openings today [print this page] After the last of the fall openings today, the jury for ''The Gold Eye'' award, sponsored by Revlon, met for the fifth consecutive season at lunch to choose the designer who best captures what was termed ''the spirit of today's fashion.'' The selection process was swift and painless. Most of the 31 members of the jury, members of the international fashion press, turned up at the St. Andrews' Restaurant at the Milan fairgrounds, where the shows are held. They were handed a ballot as they took their seats. There was no discussion and no campaigning - jurors simply filled in the name of the designer of their choice.
