Why Hire a Painting Contractor?

A professional painting contractor will provide a level of quality that the average do-it-yourselfer will not be able to provide in doing the job.

House painting is no easy task. Interior and Exterior painting is very labor intensive, very physical and can be dangerous. Usually, exterior painting is the most challenging. Some things to consider are;

Do you have the proper equipment, ladders, drop cloths, quality brushes, rollers, sprayer, extension poles, putty and patching blades?

Are you comfortable using these tools? Are you confident on a ladder? Do you have the skills to patch, cut straight lines, roll the walls evenly, use of proper primers? All of these questions are very important. There is a distinct difference in a paint job by a professional and one done by an amateur.

Are you physically capable of moving heavy furniture and large items? Make sure you are physically able to move the things safely.

As a do-it-yourselfer it will probably take you longer. Have you considered the time your room or exterior will be down, how much time it will take realistically to do a proper job and the time away from your own work or routine?

If you cannot stay on the job, get called away or must do it in the evenings or weekends, can you live with things being unfinished for a while? You only have the weekends to work on your painting job. An average exterior could take a month or more to accomplish working only weekends and an interior even more.

The experience of your Painting Contractor will have everything to do with getting lasting results. The more experience a Paint Contractor has with many different surfaces, preparation and product will make all the difference in the quality of your paint job. Are you really qualified to produce a quality job for yourself with lasting results?
