4. When you are doing link building, quality should be your major goal. Not quantity. As other link builders would say, you will benefit on one good and authoritative link is better than dozens of poor quality links.

5. Do not put keywords on images. Spiders or crawlers could not detect keywords. Instead, place keyword rich captions with your images.

6. In any social media, the first rule is do not spam. Be an active, contributing member of the site. The main purpose is to interact with possible customers or followers, not annoy them.

7. Add new articles on a regular basis. Fresh articles or content can help your site get better rankings. I would miss adding content on my site sometimes, though. But that is okay. I make sure that I could add new article at least twice a week. If your site content doesn't change often, your site needs a blog because search spiders like fresh text. Blog at least thrice a week with good and fresh content.

8. Content is king. This is the most important of them all. Make sure to have good, well-written, and unique content that will focus on your primary keyword or keyword phrase. However, some of the articles that I have read online are too focused on promoting the keyword for their website. Hence, compromises the value of the article and sometimes losses the essence of useful and informative article. Also, do not stuff your content with too much keyword. Spiders would tag this as spam and you don't want that to happen.

These are the things that I have learned and have been diligently following in doing SEO. There is still a lot of things to learn and eventually become successful. But I'm just taking things one step at a time.
