The jewel in this crown of Nintendo 64 achievement was the replay value of Goldeneye 64. Not only was the multi player enough to drop many the grades of high school students, the single player campaign was simply awesome. Following the film very well and adding material when necessary, this campaign could be played at a variety of difficulty levels and time challenges to unlock new challenges and cheats. Nothing was more exciting than trying to beat the Facility level in less than 2 minutes, 5 seconds. Of course, even the hilarious game glitches still hold a place in gamers' hearts (how is it that enemies apparently have a very hard time hitting you when you are a little too close for either's comfort). This only adds to the legitimate placement of Goldeneye 007 in video game history.
