What it needs to be is to the point and organized. Organized is another word that unfortunately many new start up business seem to omit from their vocabulary and wonder why they are out of business in 6 months. You see the secret, well its not a secret, just proven common sense is that by acquiring more customers you then increase the number of customers you have and make more money!!!!

These are the principles you will need to follow in order to get more customers. Spend time researching - never, never skip this bit and think you "know the market" cause trust me if you are just starting out - you don't and will seriously come a cropper. Create a proper marketing plan not some bits of ideas on scraps of paper!! (yes people do do this and wonder why it all goes wrong). Ensure you are able to target customers you are not reaching yet - try altering your services slightly to grab this share of the market. Your pricing structure needs to be competitive (check out what your competition is charging). Make sure your message and any material you use is based on solution marketing.

Target Markets and their importance to small business

When it comes to your customers keep in mind the importance of target marketing. The reason this is important is that only a proportion of the population is likely to purchase any products or service. By taking time pitch your sales and marketing efforts to the correct niche market you will be more productive and not waste your efforts or time.

As a small business you are not going to have the highest marketing budget in the world but this is really good. Why? because you will have to get motivated and creative. You will learn so much more about your business and its potential by starting out doing it yourself. Remember its more difficult to delegate if you don't really understanding what you are delegating. All you need to do now is make a start.
