subject: Designing An Exhibition Stand For Rolls-royce [print this page]

In a difficult and highly competitive market and at the time when all the media attention was turning towards the increasing concerns over climate change; Rolls-Royce wanted to remind potential customers and visitors of its values as a trusted, transparent global business with an emphasis on smart business and innovation.

Our solution was to draw directly from the Rolls-Royce innovation process. We asked Rolls-Royce to visualise in 3D the aerodynamic data measured on their latest large commercial jet engine; the Trent 1000. We art worked the flow simulations, which gave us some beautifully, clean graphics to base our design on. The stand was made of an aluminium frame with blue tinted glass on the outside, and printed plexi-boards on the inside. This gave the stand a clear, uncluttered space to display a full size Trent 1000 engine. On one of the walls we placed a HiDef back-projected screen, playing our brand film. The film echoed the Rolls-Royce ethos; 'The Rolls-Royce people engine'. The film was the result of the blend of projected footage of Rolls-Royce people, and the range of aerospace end products using Rolls-Royce products, with a highly detailed Trent 1000 3D model.

We were very pleased with the consistently high footfall on the stand throughout the event. Since, pictures of the stand appearing in a number of industry publications. That year, Rolls Royce secured a record number of businesses, totalling $15 billion.
