Bio fuels can be described as any fuel that is derived from biomass i.e. living organisms or their metabolic by-products. As example, crops like corn and dung from living animals.

Yet silent as a kind of scientific debate about the benefits of bio fuel, we think the main advantage on fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) is the combustion of bio fuels for energy release causes net increase levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. This is because the source of bio fuel crops, for example, have already taken an amount corresponding to CO2 from the atmosphere during their growth cycle when photosynthesis. Plans that period release oxygen and carbon sequestration for use as energy.

As long as new crops are planted in a place of the ones that are burnt, there will be no overall increment in the amount of CO2 released into the air. Hence, whilst crop based bio fuels don't reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere; they are thought to be more or less carbon neutral.

Unlike the deposits of fossil fuels like coal is that coal deposits were formed in the earth over millions of years and is considered here as an energy reservoir instead of part of the energy cycle. The burning of fossil fuels on the scale needed to meet the energy needs of humanity, in a relatively short time, hundreds of years, before millions of years, has been interpreted as deposits, means that the combustion of these fuels, additions and levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. Add to greenhouse gases already present in our atmosphere, contributing to global warming.

The big advantage however, is likely to liquid bio fuels for the production of ethanol or bio diesel. Ethanol, a substitute for fossil fuel based gasoline and bio diesel, which is simply based on crops rather than petroleum diesel, a diesel fuel substitute for conventional diesel vehicles. Although diesel vehicles consume less fuel than its gasoline, the organic growth of diesel vehicles less carbon dioxide. Neither is as effective, but vehicles using ethanol fuels largely based. Modern research shows that prairie grasses really more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during their growth, as they emit when they are converted into bio fuel, which means that it can be truly carbon neutral.
