subject: Meaningful Information And Successful Marketing [print this page]

An expert marketer and savvy business owner know that in order to get far in any industry, one must be able to do more than just sell. Because before your target clients will shell out even a single penny, they would want to know information about you and how credible you are.

Efficient marketing can actually get you become a credible source that your target clients would want to engage in business with. If you offer a service or a product, the only way your target clients would give you their hard earned money is if you provide them information that has value to them. Hence, it is important that you infuse your marketing collateral such as your brochure printing with information to break the ice between you and your target clients.

This is what we call in the industry as information marketing. It is nothing new and definitely any business owner or marketer has used this in one way or another. Just like magazines and newspapers are using information to market their broadsheet and sell advertising; so does any marketing collateral such as print brochures can use information to attract readers, and eventually sell a product or service of the company.

But the problem is that not many marketers use information marketing in their brochure printing or print catalogs for example. Articles like how-tos, directories, statistics, and new research or study, among others, are often neglected by marketers as forms of good marketing strategy. This then makes it extra significant because when you use this strategy, it gives you the chance to not only attract readers to your collateral, but also convince them to create a more meaningful and stronger relationship with your target clients.

So for you to be able to provide your target clients with meaningful information, you have to provide them with what they would find the most useful. Here is how you can:

Provide information that can be used as reference. This means providing your target clients with information that they would want to refer to again and again every time they would need solutions to their problems and issues.

Provide information that is universal. Being universal means having to be useful for not just a group of people but for everybody. So make use of information that will be of interest to everyone in your target market. And this is not just for those who would buy from you, but for EVERYBODY.

Provide specific information. The more specific, the better. Be sure to provide information that is specific to the market you are targeting. This would make you front and center in their minds even when your marketing collateral already reached its decline.

Provide a call to action. Do not forget your sales pitch. Your print brochures for example, are, first and foremost, marketing tools. So they should be able to market that your target clients would want to know what they need to do next in order to get your benefits. List all the ways and means that they can get in touch with you.

Here is the point: If you want your target clients to go for your offer, provide them with more than a sales pitch. Offer them useful information. Because information that has value for them would always mean successful marketing for you.
