Nobody likes to have acneNobody likes to have acne. Most of us spend quite a lot of time and effort fighting against breakouts. We spend tons of money on products that are supposed to give us better and acne free skin. Some people will spend their adult lives fighting against acne. Lots of people never stop fighting against acne or zits or breakouts. If you are fed up with acne fighting and having bad skin, here are some tips you can use to help yourself.

Keep your linens clean. Keeping the bedding and linens clean is not something that some people find all that important. If you are constantly experiencing breakouts, try not to be one of these people. It is especially important that you keep your pillowcases as clean as possible. Dirt and other pore clogging debris can get into your face while you sleep and keeping your linens clean helps to prevent this. You should also take care to always wear clean clothing and pajamas. Even though it seems extreme, even pulling yesterday's t-shirt down over your face could deposit enough debris in your pores to cause a breakout.

Your hands should not touch your face if you can help it. The majority of the population doesn't realize just how much time they spend touching their faces every day. Letting your face rest in your hands is just one way to clog your pores. Take a minute to think about this. Each time you touch an object and then touch your face you are placing little pieces of that object into your pores. When rest your face in your hands, the oil from your hands is transferred to your face and clogs the pores. This is also one of the reasons colds are so easily transmitted: you touch something that has germs on it and later brush your face with your hands which gives those germs easy access to your nose, mouth and eyes--prime entry portals! This is why you should try not touch your face with your hands.

If you are unable to keep your hands away from your face make sure to wash your hands often! This means that you should wash your hands often.

Keep your hands away from breakouts that do happen. Acne needs to be left alone to heal. It is always better to leave a breakout alone. Cleaning your face-even when you are broken out-is perfectly acceptable but keep those fingers off of your acne the rest of the time! It is possible that, when left to heal naturally, acne can take a few days to complete the process. What would your rather have happen? A spotty face for a day or two or a scarred face forever?

It is not that hard to fight against acne and keep your skin clean. You might be able to get by with only washing your face a couple of times each day. Others use heavy handed oil and acne zappers. Other people choose to keep acne away with healthy foods, natural products and regular exercising. Your acne cure will be specific to you and your skin so don't be afraid to try new things. The trick is to keep at something for a while.

Keep at each method for at least a couple of weeks before trying anything new because acne fighters need some time to begin working properly.
