subject: How To Properly Get Rid Of Acne [print this page] Nobody likes to have acneNobody likes to have acne. Fighting against acne is something most of us spend quite a bit of time doing. Vast quantities of money are spent on products that are supposed to fight acne and give us glowing skin. Sadly, for many people, acne issues are not limited to the years spent in puberty. Some of us have to fight against breakouts for our entire lives. If you are fed up with acne fighting and having bad skin, here are some tips you can use to help yourself.
Keep your hair off of your face.
The reason your hair should stay away from your face is that your scalp produces oil which gets transferred to your hair which can then clog your pores if your hair is in your face. When you have long hair it has a way of falling in your face whether or not you want it to, which is how so many people end up with clogged pores, even as adults! Yes having long hair and bangs is fun, but preventing breakouts means keeping that long hair and those bangs off of your face. There are lots of ways to keep your hair off of your face and still be stylish: braids, ponytails, headbands, clips, etc. Your face and skin will be so happy!
Your hands should not touch your face if you can help it. The majority of the population doesn't realize just how much time they spend touching their faces every day. Touching our faces is one of the reasons that pimples keep coming back. Think about it for a minute. Touching your face after you touch an object is sort of like resting your face on the object that you touched. It is really easy to clog your pores with the oil on your hands when your hands serve as a resting spot for your face. This is also one of the reasons colds are so easily transmitted: you touch something that has germs on it and later brush your face with your hands which gives those germs easy access to your nose, mouth and eyes--prime entry portals! So keep your hands off of your face.
If you are a habitual face toucher at least make sure that you keep your hands clean. Keep those hands clean by washing them throughout the day!
At least twice every day you need to wash your face. Things can work their way into our pores even while we are sleeping. You should have an easy time figuring out a cleansing routine for the mornings and evenings. Your evening cleansing routine will be more involved than the routine you do in the mornings because you will be washing away all of the things that have clogged your pores during the day, but at the bare minimum your face should get cleansed each morning. Your face will be very happy! Sometimes the best thing you can do to treat your acne is to go back to basics: keep your face clean and keep your hands away from breakouts. Sometimes you need something with a little bit more kick to fight your breakout. No matter how old you might be, there are plenty of options available to help you keep your breakouts from coming back-isn't that great?
