subject: Blackberry Pearl 3g 9100 The Perfect Phone For Any Occasion [print this page]

During the WES conference of April 26th RIM finally revealed the successor of the original BlackBerry Pearl 8100 series. While any mobile phone that lasts for more than three years in virtually unchanged condition is nothing short but amazing, it is time to put the old mobile phone to rest and make way for the new Pearl 9100.

It is rumored that the new BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100, will be the manufacturer's first phone equipped with full 802.11n Wi-Fi support, in addition to the other Wi-Fi standards, and will be equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, equipped with auto focus and flash. The mobile phone is rumored to come equipped with 256MB of internal storage/memory that is expandable up 32 GB, comes with GPS, HSDPA, EDGE and quad band GSM, and will carry a high resolution of 360x400. The phone provides an estimated 5.5 hours of talk time, through the use of an 1150 mAhr battery.

RIM will release the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 in several colors, and offer two keypad configurations: Numeric, with 14 keys and the traditional 20 key configuration, though it is uncertain if both versions will make it to the stores, or if the users will have the ability to change the keypad modules themselves.

The BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 will come with the company's SureType software installed for easy text recognition, in order ensure fast and efficient texting.

Blackberry 9100 Pearl 3G will also be equipped with a fully fledged media player that can play up to 30 hours of music, and will have a wide variety of mobile applications, accessible through BlackBerry App World. The phone is expected to be released through several carriers in May, and since the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 is compatible with all types of networks, we can expect to see all providers jump on board.
