subject: How To Write The Closing Part Of A Good Sales Letter [print this page]

If you have come this far, you do not need to exert much effort. However, the closing part of your sales letter is still very crucial. It is the part that contains the call of action.

It is your conclusion. Many successful marketers use different ways to have the right closing message. In fact, a good sales letter continually has the impression it has from the beginning of the letter.

1. Use a final suggestion. It is where you remind them to make the action. Your actions can be to compel the readers to purchase your product, to say yes to an appointment in which you will convince him with your killer marketing skills, or to make him visit your website.

Your call to action should not be demanding and irritating. In contrast, it should create a sense of urgency. Make them feel that now is the right time to order your product, to get online and visit your website, or to make that important call for an appointment.

2. Reiterate the benefits. Even in your conclusion, you need to incorporate the important benefits that your products offer. You may use the same adjectives or homophones to emphasize the necessity of your product.

Sometimes, it takes awhile for the information to sink in. This is the reason why most sales letters repeat the thought of their message.

3. Use a Post Script. The use of the post script is associated with urgency and importance. Imagine when you have your sales copy written by a computer, then, in the end, they see a P.S. note written by your hands.

Most likely, they would feel that the message on your Post Script is very important.Use this portion of the sales letter to convince the readers to make the necessary actions.

Sometimes, most marketers put two post scripts to add the benefits that were forgotten to include in the headlines or body of the copy.

4. Use bullet points. When you write your closing message, you can summarize the highlights and benefits of your products. Use simple words in one sentence for each benefit.

5. Make your order form neat and professional. When you have convinced your readers to purchase your products, ensure that your order form is clear, clean and convenient.

Do not make it difficult for your customers to make the order. The areas they need to fill-up should be few and basic.

Above all, your order form should come with prepaid envelope or having previously stamped. Do not bother them to pay for the postal fee. Shoulder your expenses. Make the task light for them that all they need to do is send it back.

6. Add a bonus. Many readers would respond to promos, sale and discount. A good sales letter offers the best deal to its readers.

It makes the readers feel they are at an advantage when they purchase your products. Few ways to do it is by giving special price or discount, or by sending a bonus or freebie.
