subject: Will 'THE BITCH!' Ever Return? by:Michael Knell [print this page]

It's a question I'm frequently askedIt's a question I'm frequently asked. I stopped writing these popular weekly articles around a year ago, and hardly a week goes past without someone asking me about them. These mostly political and usually highly controversial articles were a great way of promoting the websites advertising the Blackpool gay scene for the eight years I ran them. They had a fantastic following, and occasionally even won awards. Perhaps the strangest award, being as the articles came from a gay website, was 'Article of the Week' on Al Jazeera. But today I run those websites no more.

I closed down the AstaBGay websites and stopped writing the articles once there was no longer a need for them. Originally the websites were only created as a means to help out a few suffering friends with hotels here. So as other ones sprang up over the years to adequately take on that promotional task, with Blackpool slowly becoming more and more computer literate, they became non-essential. Closing them down allowed me to do what I intended doing on coming to Blackpool. I could pump out a few more books.

Written by 'The Bitch!', how could my latest offering not be just as controversial as those much missed articles? As an author, I'm not afraid to admit: nothing pleases me more than receiving some hate mail. It means my work has been read.

After you strip all the fantasy and fiction out of 'Damon - The Providence Of Pan' a lot of what you are left with immediately becomes recognisable. It is the stuff of many of those Bitch articles. Could such things, as they do in the book, really bring on the Battle Of Armageddon? I suggest they could.

Covering, amongst many other things, global warming, the struggle for power behind the New World Order, and some real evil found lurking behind Christianity, the story tells how with our god having gone missing, another deity, the Great God Pan, is forced into persuading an orphan boy to take on the task of saving all the souls of the world as the final battle of good against evil approaches. On top of all that which is recognisable, you'll learn about the Holy Grail, meet angels, demons, and even a few dragons - other than your Bitch, that is! Oh, and did I mention: King Arthur and Swindon play major roles too? It's a hell of ride, and sadly, away from all the fantasy, one which could come true.

The story is taken from the future. Should you search for its time, don't look too far ahead. Nothing will be there.
