subject: Introducing Samsungs Latest Smartphone - The Samsung Wave, From Mobiles.co.uk [print this page]

The Samsung Wave is the latest handset from Samsung which can be fully customised thanks to Bada OS which the handset runs on. Users are able to customise the homepage by adding interactive shortcuts to their favourite features and apps of the phone, and users can also download a range of applications which are available from the dedicated App Store. The Wave supports the latest type of touchscreen, a 3.3inch AMOLED on-cell touchscreen display which is a lot thinner and also nearer to the surface resulting in much sharper and brighter images on screen.

One of the main features of the Wave is the 720p HD video capture. With just one press of the button users can start recording and all video clips are captured with greater clarity.

As well as being a HD Video mobile phone, the Wave also has a 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash built in. This is capable of capturing high quality photos which can then be shared with others over blogs or by simply keeping them stored in a photo album on the handset.

The Samsung Hub is another feature which is present on the Wave and it offers simple methods of keeping in contact with friends. Live news feeds and updates from different social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter are all pulled together and are displayed in one place, and other forms of messaging including text and email can all be found on the contact list.

Also present on the Wave is a 1GHz processor which allows the handset to run quickly even when running multiple applications and at the same time conserves the battery life and allows for a responsive touchscreen experience.

The Samsung Wave smartphone can be used as a sat nav device via the GPS function. Users can locate their current position and also plan their journeys when used with compatible mapping software.
