We can all agree that home decorating can take a lot of money. It isn't hard to forget what you're doing and get caught up in the "vision" of your home instead of keeping track of what you spend. People who work with super tight budgets usually get stressed out because they are afraid that they won't be able to decorate their homes the way that they want. There are a lot of things that you can use for decorating that don't cost a lot of money.

Read on to get a few tips for cheap and great looking dcor!

Start visiting craft fairs. There is a lot of inspiration to be found at craft fairs and by getting to know the artists in your area. You can find decorations for a range of prices at craft fairs. Local craft and art fairs usually feature mostly the same artists, which can be a major benefit. Artists are more likely to give discounts and deals to the customers that they remember and like (and who are likely to come back and buy something in the future.

You don't have to fill up every inch of decorating space in your home. A home that has decorations on every surface can be hard to live in-and it creates more work (think of the dusting!) for the home owner. Don't overcrowd the pieces you really love.

Using only selected pieces will help those pieces stand out more. Many people find it easier to live in a home that is not overly decorated. Smashing a bunch of photos and paintings on a wall might seem like a good idea, but you'll just crowd out your favorite pieces and make it hard to enjoy any of your decorations at all. It is important to leave free space when you decorate. Great decorators the world over will tell you not to be afraid of leaving space empty.

Switch out your old rugs for new ones. Room sized rugs can be placed over wall to wall carpet to give your home an updated look. It isn't difficult to find a room sized rug, you can purchase them in most stores that carry furnishing and decorations. If you have hardwood or tile floors, use accent rugs to change the feel of the room. The nice thing about using accent rugs is that, if you want to change them out for new ones, you can do so quickly and cheaply. For those who know how to crochet or knit, they can save even more money by making their own rugs to use as decorations.

Decorating with found items is something that everybody can do. All it takes to decorate your home is to look around at what you already have access to and use your imagination. Empty walls can be just as, if not more, beautiful than a wall crammed full of art.

Expensive art is not automatically better than something that you can make with your own hands. Don't rush-give yourself time to think about the decorations you want most. The only people that benefit from your rushing to decorate are the people who sell you the decorations.
