subject: Gay Rights [print this page]

Our biggest tragedy as a country was the enslavement of black people who were stolen from their fatherlands and forced in serf hood. In order to put an end to this dictatorship, audacious people risked their own lives in what came to be known as known as Movement for civil rights. This movement moved the defending people and they together formed a force which changed the face of America. Because of its success it acts as a powerful model for every movement for civil rights and is followed even now. There is a saying that history is repeated and without a doubt there are a number of movements for civil rights which are worth remembering in this country. People who supported serf hood, disclaimed the white women and colored people their right to vote, were all on the wrong side of history by disclaiming the fundamental and civil rights of human being. And today, there are a lot of people who are always on the wrong side of history by disclaiming the right of joy of lesbian and the bisexual Americans .The government has now sanctioned a bill that allows the right to all citizens, freedom and happiness and where all the people are treated equally. However it is very obvious that gay, lesbian, the bisexual Americans and transgender are exempted from this equality of rights. It is just the present condition but we are sure to say that conditions will change, because it as obvious that as history repeats, justice will predominate finally, but unfortunately he will always have to face conflict. This country was found to protect the view of minority, to allow all voices to be heard and to provide the equality of rights to all Americans. Democracy has never been a proposal of majority. Many people ran away to this country to avoid religious persecution. Now, many forefathers of these very people are the same people who made the life of gay Americans bitter at one time.

Even - Sexual Marriage The monks disclaimed the equality of rights to gay, the lesbian, the bisexual Americans and transgender. According to them allowing even - sexual marriage would compromise the wedding institution. It will be very humiliating to seriously take this claim as according to past records heterosexuals have a rate of divorce of about 50 %. You cannot allocate the failure of responsibility to gay people. In fact, it is hard to think that even -sexual couples can even make a little better couple than their heterosexual counterbalances in the wedding department. As a lesbian couple, my wife Dawn and I are legally married in the big state of Massachusetts, which was the first state to allow even - sexual marriage with all rights and advantages agreed with it. Since the time we moved to Maryland, a state which does not acknowledge, nor allows even - sexual marriages, we no more have rights which we once had in Massachusetts including the public health. We are now relegated once again to the status of second class. However history is repeated. So even if they disclaim right to the sexual couples to get married in the most part of the states nowadays, there was another group of people in our history of nation to whom they also disclaimed right to get married.
