Graduates from MBA programs can hardly be called starry-eyed idealists. Instead, they are smart, discerning business-executives-to-be and set their sites on the companies that pay well, hire extensively, and treat their employees with respect.

Every year, Universum Communications, a research and consulting firm, surveys 5,000 graduating MBAs and asks them whom theyd like to work for. This years list offered some surprisesBMW and Coca-Cola were knocked out of the top ten by newcomers Bain and the Boston Consulting Group.

Here are brief profiles of the top ten companies on the list.

1. Google

The worlds most popular Internet search engine has earned the top spot honestly; not only do they pay well, but they also offer gourmet meals, an on-site masseuse, and ask staff to spend one day a week on their own project.
