Do you remember the Vietnam War? Do you remember how the VC would use children as suicide bombers, or to carry booby traps? They would use women, animals or whatever they could find to do bodily harm to the invaders of their homeland. They only had crude weapons. They didnt have money to bankroll a war, and they didnt have the technology that we had. Yet they were able to persevere and drive us out of their country. In doing so they suffered incredible hardship. They saw their country torn apart, their homes and villages burned, and their loved ones mutilated and killed. Yet they wouldnt roll over and die. They fought with dogged determination and won.
They committed many cruel acts of desperation. Desperate people do desperate things. They went so far because they had the added incentive of fighting for their homeland. They were desperate because they knew that they had little chance of actually
winning the war. Yet they won because they pulled out all of the stops. Are you in a desperate situation? Scratch and claw and do whatever you need to in order to win. If you go down go down fighting. Dont just scratch and claw but scream and yell at the same time. Pull out all of the stops and WIN!!!
What is it that you would die for? Would you die for your children? If so think about them as you go about your journey to improve. Know that they will be affected by whatever you do whether it is good or bad. The choices that you make will have the most profound impact upon their lives. In the mind of the Vietnamese the life of those children was secondary to their homeland. Make your life secondary to your cause. Put God first in all that you do and ask him for his help. You may lose some battles. You may lose many battles but the point is to win the war. You may lose some things in your struggle. You may lose some loved ones, but there is nothing you can do about spilled milk. Close ranks and move on.
You must succeed for their sake. You can succeed. Yes it is hard but it is not impossible. If you cant win for your own sake win for the sake of the thing that you love. Children are an easy motivator for me because they are so loveable and yet so helpless. Remember that they will suffer the consequences of your bad decisions and your losses. You must stay on the razors edge in order to win. It is not a good place to be but life is what it is. Deal with it and continue to move forward.
If you dont have children remember that thing that you would die for. Keep it in mind as you go about your daily routine.
When you find that you are weary and dont want to make another step go back to your motive and let it be bigger than yourself. Ignore the pain and drive on. Dont let the situation be about you, let it be about that thing which you love the most. Win for the sake of that thing that you love. Riceland Enterprises
