Let's be honest here. The Premiership has not really set the World alight this season and that has nothing to do with the large clumps of snow that continue to fall throughout the United Kingdom. There has not really been any team that have taken the reigns and taken a commanding lead, nor has any team played that appallingly to warrant relegation already. This makes for an exciting up and coming end to the season but we are in reality mssing the likes of one Cristiano Ronaldo. This is a player that we actually hate to love, he was that good, his skills unnatural and his ability to entertain pulled in viewers from around the globe. The 2009/2010 season however is missing him and is therefore not as exciting as one would have hoped, sure, one would like things to be close and one hopes it all does go to the last game of the season but there seems to be a lack of energy on the field that made the Premiership season last year so entertaining. Chelsea are currently the best team of a bad bunch with even them unable to pull away with each chance to increase their lead followed by a boring and predicatable draw, apart from that against Everton where they drew 3-3). The problem is that one cannot really see it getting any better, even next year, once the World Cup in South Africa is finished, players will be slightly tired and unless another player like Cristiano Ronaldo comes out of the woodwork then the Premiership will rightfully lose its title of Best League in the World with Spain taking all the plaudits. The best bookmakers obviously make Chelsea favourites for the title but if we could ever judge on the league on a clappometer then one could be on a par with Tiger Woods this year.About the Author:
